Well that depends on what your motivation for playing football is, and in what stage of your career you are.

But sure if you are similar to N'Zogbia, Sinclair and that ilk I agree.

And then it is the club signing them who needs their head checked out.

goalkeeper - none of them

defence - lyden, Amavi , okore 

midfield - Gana, Gil, Veretout , traore, Westwood 

forwards - kozak, Ayew , Gestede 

but knowing villa we will get rid of the good ones and keep the shit ones 

I'd add Clark, Sanchez and Grealish to your list Richard

If Distin fancies one final pay day I'd give him a year. Would join the long list of players I've always wanted to see play for us....5 years later than they should've joined.

I think Morrison from Albion would be a very good signing, him or Charlie Adam, we need central midfielders capable of scoring goals.

Lots of overpaid has been's on that list but I'm sure you could make a catch or 2 if you know what you are doing.

I'd take Leon Osman.  Not a world beater but will give you 100%.  Something we havent had for a long time in a good number of signings

Anthony Knockaert at Brighton is really impressive, if they don't go up, he should be a priority. 

We really ought to have signed this guy rather than wasting more on Veretout.

I'd forgotten about Adebayor.  I guess the one good thing about this season is we never actually signed him on 100 grand a week.  Some decent options there though.

Carrick would be a good signing for us in the championship, doubt he would come though. I'd like to think Gareth Barry still has a soft spot for us, but it's likely he'd get a better offer in the premiership.

Have just seen the freebies above and I tell you what, if the takeover doesn't happen I'd take 8/9 of them right now and they would be better than what we have:

Boruc

Terry, Delaney, Demichelis

Carrick, Arteta, Carroll, Osman, Pienaar

Would take any of those above and midfield would be sorted for sure.  Don't care about age to be honest as getting out of the division at the first attempt has to be the priority.
