Being a retirement home or finding the right players to get us out of the Chamionship are two very different things. I would take Walters, Barry, Barton etc in a heartbeat. StanBalaban
Patrick Bamford hasn't had a great time on loan at Palace or Norwich, but was in beast-mode at Boro in the Championship.

The Mail on Sunday says Villa want McCormack to lead them out of the Championship next season. The 29-year-old has been part of a Fulham side that has barely survived in the Championship this season but he has still managed to score 23 goals. Middlesbrough made an effort to sign him in January and there were enquiries from Bournemouth and Derby but Fulham resisted and gave the Scotland international a new contract. - See more at: http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/aston-villa-target-fulham-striker-ross-mccormack-4127745#sthash.zwgSwGMo.dpuf

Denis242
Why not try me? I am a 16 year old (NO LIE) defender and I can....defend (GET IN!), and I would give a **** for the team I support, and I would play for free. Maybe if you like this comment enough it would get attention! (I don't really think so...) Anyway, our season is over so why not test me. I am better than Lescott! (Doesn't mean that I am good, I could still be piss poor) But don't you want some joy, and see a 16-year old Villa fan try to make history.... Well I am just one silly kid I believe. Well, now you know. You could test me and then give me a 5 year contract with...I would say at least 60000 pounds a week. (Wouldn't be the worst decision Villa made in the last 5 years...) So #DenisforVilla

That logic does not necessarily hold true 100 percent. Further more money is always a factor.
HanoiVillan
No chance at all that #DenisforVilla would be worse than Lescott, so would obviously increase the average level of talent while significantly reducing the wage bill. Get in!
nnock1984
Who I'd keep GK - Steer RB - Hutton LB - Amavi, Bennett CB - Clark, Baker, Toner, RW - Traore , Green LW - Grealish, Sinclair CM - Westwood, Gardner, Lyden, Veretout, ST - Gestede, Ayew, Robinson Plus some other kids who haven't yet broken through. Ideally, I wouldn't keep everyone of the above, but we can't change everybody in this window. Sell - Guzan, Bunn, Bacuna, Cissoko, Richards, Okore, Lescott, Sanchez, Gill, Nzogbia, Gana, Gabby, Richardson, Kozak - I reckon we'd get 30-35 million for this lot and clear a hell of a lot of wages Need - 1st choice GK, 1st choice RB, 1st choice CB, quality winger, quality CM, goal scorer. I'd like to see us go for the likes of Tom Carrol, Patrick Bamford, Ross McCormack, Rico Henry, Will Grigg, Bentley etc.

Popular Post rodders0223
Ross McCormack has talent but ultimately he is a little fat bastard who has to be carried for 90% of the game. He has scored a lot of goals for Leeds and Fulham the last 5 years and neither has come remotely close to being promoted. It is not a coincidence. His all round game and effort is abysmal. Added to the fact he is 29 and Fulham paid about 10m for him....it is a definite no for me. .....first and foremost I just want us to sign a goalkeeper who isn't an absolute retard.

Johnnyp
Was on a stag in Berlin the weekend gone. On fri evening a couple of us got the S- Bahn and headed out to watch Union Berlin v Bochum. 15 euro in , fantastic atmosphere. Anyway, Union had an American striker playing named Bobby Wood. Looked very good. Tearing the league up this year apparently. Scoring at international level too.

Speaking of Veretout, what on earth has happened to him, is he injured or has he dropped off the face of the earth? (although not like he ever delivered for us or was worth even 1/10th of the fee we paid for him mind).

But seriously, he appears to have a good record, so couldn't hurt to try, I definitely think we should be looking to bring in one or two American players, there's some good value out there.
