Chicken Field
Man of the match again today, love the player, fights like a proper lion.

Actually even more useful to the team, if we had another goal outlet...
Popular Post samjp26
Anybody see him shout at/grab the players at the end of the match when they tried to start walking towards the tunnel? Made sure they gave the fans a clap/wave etc.

His overall contribution is greater than Benteke's, Benteke was more influential in getting us results. It should also be noticed that Benteke also had many games where he was completely anonymous, for Ayew it's too soon to judge. Ayew works much harder, that's for sure. How wonderfult would it have been to have them both play for Villa...

Stevo985 Posted January 12, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted January 12, 2016 If only that shot had stayed down. What a goal that would have been. Great performance though.
JoshVilla
Cracking player. Tracks back, drives forward, has some excellent skill and puts a proper shift in. I hope we can hang onto him, whatever happens.
dounavilla
Great game but I must insist that one of you savvy tech members create a gif of that 2 touch move in there box which if he had scored would have been such great one.
Jimbop
I think we will lose him next season regardless unfortunately now. He's far too good for the Championship so if we go down he'll go to a mid-table Prem team or European equivalent, and if we pull off the great escape, in doing so he will probably have scored over 10 goals in the remaining fixtures and won us numerous matches, which will bring even bigger players to the table and Randy will sell him. Absolutely love this guy, if only we had him and Benteke in the same team.

Popular Post powell91
Late on in the game when he tracked back and made a great tackle which prevented what would have been a dangerous attack what a guy. Pretty sure I saw him demand the players go and applause the crowd when everyone was celebrating. Absolute pleasure to see a professional like this in our shirt.
Farlz
He's just fantastic every single week, his work rate is phenomenal and combined with his ability he's just a joy to watch. What a player.
GeordieVillan
He and the other 2 Jordans are the best thing about our team at the minute. He's really stepped up since getting a regular run in the team.
New_Jersey_Villa
Awesome again today. Deserved a goal with that run in the box.
troon_villan
Different class. Almost Milner-esque work rate at times.

Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted January 12, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted January 12, 2016 I realise that this means I should be burnt at the stake (probably quite rightly) but I didn't think he was quite at his best today. He was still very good though, a couple of fantastic runs, 'that' trick in their box for the shot over the top and a big chunk of effort - for me his best moment in the match was a forty yard run he made to chase down one of their players (Puncheon?) and dispossess him with about 20 minutes left - you could see it galvanised the others. He's an odd leader, he's got an expression on this face like a man licking a nettle and he's a little bit sulky at times, but he has the ability to lift others around him, either with a piece of brilliance or through his character. I'm very happy to have him here.
