No Moyes fan but to be fair they looked very good against Arsenal, Antonio in particular.

Isn't that a kind of a derby? How big is it?

They may not be as "up" for it in other games.

Newcastle game in comparison they looked disinterested.

West Ham supporters were left alarmed on Wednesday after co-owner David Sullivan warned that the club aren't guaranteed to make any new signings.

The Hammers have endured a summer of discontent and the pressure has intensified once again on the owners after seeing no fresh faces walk through the door, while they sold highly-rated Grady Diangana to West Brom for £20million.

Fans have been furious with the direction West Ham are going in - some supporters have supported the GSB (Gold, Sullivan, Brady) Out campaign, with a small group of protestors unfurling anti-ownership banners outside the ground before kick-off against Newcastle on the opening day of the season, and again outside the Emirates Stadium last Saturday.

And on Wednesday, Sullivan played down expectations before the summer window closes by telling talkSPORT that the transfer market leaves him 'depressed' while claiming he can't bring in the players that manager David Moyes is looking for. The Hammers have only signed Tomas Soucek, who originally joined on loan in January, on a permanent deal, while youngster Ossama Ashley was picked up on a free transfer after leaving AFC Wimbledon.

Sullivan revealed: 'It's the manager's decision. He doesn't want to bring in players who are just numbers, just squad players. He wants to bring players in who will improve the team.

'We have a number of bids in for a number of players, but teams don't want to lose them; these are key players at decent sized clubs, outside the UK. They don't want to lose them so whether we get any of these players I do not know.'...:snip:

It is a real house of cards.

The owners have loaned money to the club and unlike the vast majority of owners they are apparently charging interest, I recently saw a figure of £17m reported.

So you can bet a large amount of their currently reduced income is servicing the debt to the owners.

If they go down it could be meltdown.

'We've chased dreams the last two years and bought a pile of players who haven't impacted the club'

Yikes, that might be on the verge of 'too honest' really.

Hes right, but calling your players, in effect a load of shite is hardly gonna raise morale

Has been suggestions that FIFA might give them a transfer ban as didnt pay Frankfurt for Haller, they only really signed a loan signing from last season. Possible that the transfer ban has been put on the quiet

Add the fan's as well.  As a set of fan's,  they get the team,  ground and owners they deserve apart from being 1 league to high.
