HanoiVillan
Head and shoulders above the rest of our midfield as it stands. Good reference to his excellent hair, well played!
Ponky
I love the fact that he is not a gnome like the others too. Can leap in the air and win headers in the midfield.

Popular Post nazvfc
Well this is VT - I wait with baited breath. Against Sunderland he made a minor error- he lost the ball and a fan behind laid into him wanting him taken off!! I swear some fans don't actually watch or know a thing about football. Sanchez is just as important as benteke. In over 52 years of supporting Villa I don't think I have seen such a near perfect performance and I've seen some class players for Villa. Just want him to score (and he will). Guy has learned from his mistakes. Think others could take a leaf out of his book. Sanchez shows us don't judge a player until given a fair crack of the whip in a villa shirt. Just my opinion.
dont_do_it_doug.
So good again yesterday. Shame it was lost to the overall performance.
bobzy
So good again yesterday. Shame it was lost to the overall performance. He was good... but didn't he gift them the ball when making some weird run across the edge of his own box inclusive of wank control in the first place? R.Bear
I really thought we had signed another foreign dud in the first few games. Another "wont get used to PL speed" etc blah blah blah. However in the last few games he has turned into a half-Vieira/half-Pirlo monster.
nazvfc
As the saying goes "judge yee not until they have put on the shirt and had a fair crack of the whip and played more than 5 games or so!"
VillaChris
Carlos Sanchez attempted the most passes (117) in the Premier League on New Year's Day Saw that in the Mail, highest passes from a Villa player since 2003. At long last I think it's safe to say we've finally replaced Stan.

DCJonah
Carlos Sanchez attempted the most passes (117) in the Premier League on New Year's Day While I've been very impressed with sanche z, he has a stat like this because teams are allowing us to pass it round defence and midfield with little pressure. Sanchez is the one that's constantly getting the ball and keep it moving. I think he's a great player but I'd imagine those type of stats decrease if teams started to actually care we had the ball. Brumstopdogs
Carlos Sanchez attempted the most passes (117) in the Premier League on New Year's Day Good stat - I wonder how many of those were forward passes.
lapal_fan
Quite a few, and when he couldn't he was rallying the forwards to look for the ball.
foreveryoung
Quite a few, and when he couldn't he was rallying the forwards to look for the ball. Yeah though most of that tally is made up of him passing forward and the forward player passing it straight back to him. This was his frustration yesterday, no one would make the run off his pass, happens all the time, awful to watch.
