The Ashley horror show of managers, Hughton, Rafa and arguably Pardew were a success. Lots and lots of shit

Could imagine him bringing in Pulis next

That's hilarious. Only Mark Hughes and Tony Pulis missing from that list.

I’m telling you Mark Hughes will be his replacement.

It's funny, but I wouldn't wish all this even on Newcastle fans. This is the sort of suffering that should be reserved for SHA fans.

Bruce is doing what he needs to do to get the sack and a pay off - surely he's one or two more championship clubs away from oblivion as a manager

I don't think he'll ever reach that point.

At some point before he leaves he'll beat another top team and we'll have to read from half the national media how 'this is what Steve Bruce gets you; Results! Followed by calling the Geordies ungrateful, compare them all to current day Gazza and be done with it.

He has infinite lives in football, he'll probably take another top 10 championship team and bravely nearly get them promoted in his next job.

It’s going to be us isn’t it

I bet they score a goal though. They ain't scored for about 12 hours and we always like to end the oppositions bad streak.

"unrealistic expectations" and the media will latch on to it and completely agree, the geordies will be attacked as wanting CL football and to win the league and being deluded

in reality they just want to string 10 passes together and create a couple of chances each game

exactly. no matter how many times they fail they manage to bag a new job. if not a championship club then maybe palace or burnley.

newcastle are very lucky to have 3 awful teams in the league this season or they'd be in trouble

Really looking forward to our game with them - they are not getting out of this death spiral any time soon - we'll out score them I have no doubt and it could even be their relegation year, it'll be pleasing to help them on their way to the trap door.

Since he is a] somehow already 60 years old, and b] absolutely loaded, I suspect that another way of saying 'oblivion' here is 'a comfortable retirement and some occasional media work'.

new contract for Ciaran Clark, not the sort of deal for a club that wants to move up the table

Well those teammates aren't gonna just injure themselves in training now, are they?
