Awol
Entirely inappropriate for those sexist pigs to suggest Sturgeon should get to it with a dildo, clearly a rusty trowel, an early blooming Christmas tree or a Trident missile would be more fitting. Likewise for Mr Salmond - an oral and/or rectal insertion would be fine. Clackmannanshire (really?) says no. Good start.
Avfc96
SNP expected to do better there aswell, interesting. Meanwhile, Nick Robinson @bbcnickrobinson 41s YES campaigner Peter Johnston leader of SNP on West Lothian Council conceded defeat to No - says "It's disappointing." CarewsEyebrowDesigner
It'll be No by 9-10%. I'm so confident in my prediction that I'm going to bed.

HanoiVillan
Not quite a landslide, but a definite and emphatic victory, for sure. 'Yes' voters looking thin on the ground.

Seat68
Not like the 1997 allnighter, but such an important vote, had to stay up. Huge turnout and all very interesting so far.

Jon
I don't see the Westminster Elite from being divorced from the Banking or Financial Elite. Both are in that London, and both are a million miles away from the lives of your average scotchman. In which case, everybody, except (GINKO!) for a few people in the UK are in exactly the same boat. They're talking shite. Indeed they are, to a greater or lesser extent. Sadly, they don't get to vote on getting rid of this self serving, self propagating, illegitimate system of governance we have 'down here'. Hopefully this scotch thing will have woken the masses up ...
Jon
They've come out in their droves, and 45% have voted yes. I'd love to see this kind of thing (pure PR) at a general election. Think how many seats the kippers might get though!
Phumfeinz
This was always going to be the outcome which is why I never really bothered to follow it. Same as it ever was.
The_Rev
Pleased to see the 'No' vote win. I guess it's pretty decisive too, I mean if 'Yes' can't win a poll where they have children voting, during a summer which saw the Glasgow Commonwealth games and the 700th anniversary of Bannockburn at a time when we have a Cameron & Clegg in Westminster then it's not as close as some might claim. I think a federal government like the Yanks have is the way forwards though.

bickster Posted September 19, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 19, 2014 I'm pleased My 10-15% prediction came true. Now to get more devolved powers for the rest of the UK tooWould have like to have seen Scotland go Independant just for curiosity reasonsIt would have been one of the most bizarre socials experiments ever
bickster Posted September 19, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 19, 2014 The whole affair has reminded me of this dialogue:TOMMY: Doesn't it make you proud to be Scottish?RENTON: I hate being Scottish. We're the lowest of the ****ing low, the scum of the earth, the most wretched, servile, miserable, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilization. Some people hate the English, but I don't. They're just rocket polishers. We, on the other hand, are colonized by rocket polishers. We can't even pick a decent culture to be colonized by. We are ruled by effete arseholes. It's a shite state of affairs and all the fresh air in the world will not make any ****ing difference.
CVByrne
Glad it was a decisive No vote. Hopefully we can get it off the news now, sick of it tbh.
TrentVilla Posted September 19, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 19, 2014 Not a chance, this has only just started. The fall out from this in terms of their new powers and the resulting effects in England will be felt for years to come, there is a political shit storm brewing and its going to be a big one.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
1. 45% is too high a number for the issue to go away. 2. Tories are buggered, Cameron is toast. 3, Labour are dying a slow death. 4. Devolution for everybody is now on the agenda and it's a vote winner. We're in for an interesting few years.
