Not perfect, made mistakes but doesn’t deserve this hate fuelled strange behaviour and comments. He’s moved clubs, that’s all, get over it. I’m more angry at fans who want to tarnish the best memories of the last few years than I am with a lad that dared to want something different after 19 years. Aston Villa fans should be better than this. Grow up the lot of you. From my perspective it is just the way he went about it. Wants to play in the CL, win trophies right away, and make lots of money? Ok. But don't string along and give false promises to a club who has supported and loved you for so long. Just should have been more upfront and more of a man about the whole situation. Simples. Fooling us into thinking he was committed and believed In the project. When in reality he asked for a release clause We knew this at the time. It was reported and you only had to glance at his social media to understand how important CL football was to him. Both club and player should have thought harder before making out like he was here for the long haul but I cannot believe the reaction of grown men over this. The 10 game winning run, the playoffs, his first PL season, the 7-2 over Liverpool, 3-0 over Arsenal, he was at the centre of them all. Celebrate him.

How on Earth does continuing to follow your alleged boyhood club on social media damage his brand in any way? 3

Popular Post Mic09
What if he did a Purslow like video, thanking everyone for all the years together, explaining that a footballers career is short and this is the best move for him at the moment, saying he will pay for all the Grealish shirts that kids bought and wish Villa all the best in the future. Small gesture, a goodbye, and I think it would have been accepted by a majority of fans.

stewiek2
I think his shins are royally f**ked. He can't do a full season. He wants medals and the glory, and he wants it now because of that. Pep can play him just enough games for him to look after them and get a few medals and pay him a bucket load for that. Villa can't and don't have that privelidge. We simply don't. He can play less games for them and still pick up winners medals. Problem is can Jack adapt to that way of playing? Can he be disciplined to Pep's rigid system? Theirry Henry got hauled off for not sticking to his role despite scoring the winning first half goal in a game. Stay at Villa he'd had retired at 29-30 I reckon with his shins and other issues. Think at City and less games he'll get another 2 seasons tops.
CarryOnVilla
6 years on £370k pw It’s massive gamble for City. If it don’t work out for Grealish be it form or injuries, it’s going to be hard for Man City to move him on. Only the “super league clubs” will be able to afford to match them wages. He will be stuck on the books for years sucking up all that money. Could be a start of the same problem that Barcelona has now. A club full of duffers on inflated wages not being able to move them else where. It’s great for him, because he’s now made for life regardless what happens. All the Gamble is on City. 6 years…. Ouch

Popular Post Mic09
Naaah, there is no gamble. He is a genius player, any club would be lucky to have him. We all know he will take 2/3 defenders out of their position and create a space for one of Man Cities players to run into. That's what he does, and he will do it against both Crystal Palace and Bayern Munich. It's not a gamble, he is a genius player.

Popular Post stewiek2
I've never had a problem with Neil Taylor. Always been a uncertain in the final thrid but you can't deny his commitment to the cause. And from what I've heard a tru pro and loved being here and never moaned once or acted with a bloated ego.

Would you rather have a 34 year old Messi or a 25 year old Grealish? Messi is still a better player right now, but he won't be in two years. He's getting old. They now have Grealish for what will probably be the peak 6 years of his career.
