Maybe if he behaved a bit on the brighter side and partied less he would be a lesser player. Nobody is defending him from all criticism. There are people in this thread suggesting he’ll retire by 30, his career is over, and his life is off the rails because he got drunk after winning his first ever league title. All anyone is doing is pointing out how batshit mental that is. There’s plenty of legitimate criticism to level at him this season without all this nonsense. So you don't think his team-mates looked embarrassed about his antics at the ceremony? You don't think he is in the news to much for his partying and drinking - it was embarrassing and cringeworthy when he was our player - thankfully it is someone else's problem. Given his contribution to City's title, and his celebrations - He really was the epitome of this: You seriously think that he will remain a top player at a top club into his 30's the way he carries on.....? I seriously doubt it. Edited May 25, 2022 by TheStagMan
Tom13
I genuinely don't mind him celebrating, but it's the obnoxious way he does it, and the stupid phrases he uses as well. Even when he was comforting an emotional Zinchenko, Jack was there hugging him and shouting "Zinnaaaaaa! My guy!" (but spoken as Maaaay Guuuuuy). I just can't help but cringe to the extreme, everything he says or does seems to be for social media! He's just a Love Island wannabe.

He’s always been bit of a clown, but it’s almost like he’s trying to hard to impress his new teammates, it’s quite sad really. Like the new kid at school trying to fit in by being extra loud and obnoxious.

Adman
He used to be the centre of attention due to his input and reputation on the pitch. He is a nobody now on the pitch so is making up for it by acting like a tit. He'll be at Newcastle in 18 months

The_Steve
He’s always been a tit - he just didn’t have the club he does now wrapped around his little finger. Maybe next season his G/A tally will surpass his driving offences.
BleedClaretAndBlue
If he’d just scored 3 and assisted 3 at Villa, theres no chance he gets called up to England

In the last month he's played a CL semi final at the bernabeu, won the league, signed a $1.7m deal to be the face of gucci and got an England call up despite having no form (and he's having a week long bender in between and Southgate is OK with that? No one bat's an eyelid) I would say it's working out OK for him Edit - and I spose he picked up circa £1.2m in wages from City as well as a bonus for winning the league no doubt Edited May 25, 2022 by villa4europe

Popular Post DCJonah
Same people who jump to his defence constantly on here, did the same when he crashed his car in lock down. The boy can do no wrong. I'm still a fan of him as a player but I think he's a bit of a dick.

For me, when he was with us and playing (very well) each week, his indiscretions and tomfoolery could easily be overshadowed/masked by what he was achieving on the pitch However, as he isn't featuring as much or playing at the same levels (especially at a bigger club), his dickness has become more obvious as there's little else about him to talk about. Cracking player, thick as mince but now with a growing sense of entitlement and arrogance creeping into his persona.

Haaland at Dortmund announced he was leaving 2 games before the end of the season and they have so much more time to prepare. Him, his dad and his agent should have really laid the intentions out in April last season as I think we all know a deal was done between them and City. I do feel they tried string us along As for the Almiron comments they were uncalled for, guy has probably done as much this season as Jack Also labelling us as Aston Villa all the time for me is a sign he never really was the Villa fan he proclaimed to be as I dont know any fan that calls us the full name

To be honest I felt that way when he was at villa. He's part of the TOWIE generation who are waxing, taking coke and wearing shit clothes every week. They're all knobs as far as I'm concerned and jack is their poster boy.
