It's really not.

6th biggest transfer in world football history

for a guy who's never played in europe, won nothing and has 12 international caps largely as a sub

even if values are getting skewed by the obscene spending its a lot of money

Maybe Wes Edens told him to go then. We know he has little time for those who don't buy fully into his projects.

I don't know honestly. Only that it wasn't for a couple of days.

I think after today the wheels may have turned too much for the carriage to now stop rolling tbh.

£1.2m a month. Obscene.

The gap between the money clubs & the rest is just becoming ridiculous. How any club can sustain those kind of wages is Insane. It's not good for the League !!

Imagine the sponsorship deals he’ll get from the likes of Nike by joining City. I support Villa but if I was in his position I’d do it in a heart beat and earn tens of millions each year.

I wouldn't. If $hitty offered me a contract I'd literally burn it in front of them. No amount of money would convince me.

This is the real reason, why retire with 25 million when I can have 200m. Trophies my backside, not one of them would swap trophies for the money.

I wouldn’t, people compare it to real jobs saying it’s a no brainer.

I could work in London and double my net income but instead I’d rather a 30 minute commute and a job which still gets me a pretty good life.

A job in football isn’t even comparable to real jobs

Anyone who believes a footballer pays 50% tax, don't know too much about rich living.

Surely his salary at the club would be PAYE? Other stuff - endorsements etc, I imagine they can be more creative with?

There have been a few footballers wage slips leaked online and they pay a lot of tax.

Apparently he was in/about training this afternoon, sitting around waiting to get on a plane to manchester this evening

Apparently the plane had been sitting around for 2 days for Grealish to get on it, so make of that what you can!
