darrenm
The Death of Stalin 8/10 Very funny, very dark, very witty, Paddy Considine Got a bit heavy at the end which brought the mood down a bit too much they insulted socialism once Definitely worth a watch for some cerebral entertainment. sne
So Blade Runner 2049. I liked it a lot. It's really slow, but it kinda has to be to work. Really beautiful (and loud) movie. It's not quite up there with the original Blade Runner, but still a really good movie. 8 - 8,5 /10 WB
mikeyp102
Pitch perfect, better than expected and the woman in it looked incredible (yes it's a girly film, but needed something to not over concentrate on)
maqroll
Orient Express looks like fun. I usually really enjoy train movies.

Kenneth Branagh moustache is probably highlight of the trailer
PaulC
I can't stand Johnny Depp and Kenneth Branagh did the worst impersonation of Sir Laurence Olivier in My week with Marilyn I have ever seen.
sne
Not too shabby. Rather liked this different take on the zombie apocalypse. Have not read the novel so can't compare. Bit unexpected to see Glenn Close in a zombie flick.
Chindie Posted October 24, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted October 24, 2017 Partly filmed in Birmingham. Speaking of which it was bizarre watching Kingsman the other week and recognising loads of the opening car chase from around Colmore Business District. HanoiVillan
I went to see Detroit at mac on Sunday, which was a very good movie. However, I sat next to the single worst people to watch a movie with in the entire world: Halfway through the movie, this middle-aged couple removed a large bar of chocolate from their bag and proceeded to break it into pieces, while still in the rustly silver-foil lining. This lasted for at least a minute. The woman then began to masticate, extremely loudly, NOM-NOM-NOM like some **** animal while she ate it She then picked her teeth with her fingers, repeatedly After getting her fingers covered in gunky tooth residue, she attempted to wipe the evidence clear on her seat, but actually wiped her fingers on my wife's skirt She then sniffed her fingers, got a real good hard waft of what she was brewing up on her gums This cycle repeated on more than one occasion She also elbowed my wife in the ribs on three occasions, while attempting to dominate the armrest I've honestly never seen anything like it. Chindie Posted October 24, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted October 24, 2017 When we saw Blade Runner 2049 we sat across the aisle from 2 guys, one enormous bloke supported by a stick (which must have done something terrible in a previous stick life to have such a mass lean on it all day) and a younger guy who I assume was his son. They sat quietly through the ads and trailers, then as soon as the film started opened a bottle of pop and a huge and very loud bag of crisps, which they then spent the entire movie passing between themselves with loud 'do you want any?' style comment each time. They also had extremely loud lip smacking chewing, the big guy chewing like a cow. Blade Runner 2049 is a bloody loud movie. Yet the chewing and rustling was clearly audible, despite being at least 4m away. Maddening.

After we left the cinema I said to the missus that 'they'll be first against the wall when the revolution comes', at which point she mentioned that that might not be very appropriate given the feel we'd just watched
