Beyonce is Nala from when Simba accidentally bumps into her, and then he utterly ruins it. Looking at the casting, I can't think how they could of done much better, in regards to star power, and quality of performance/voice, lest we forget if is a Disney flick. Personally I didn't think they needed a star power though. When Simba comes back to the pride towards the end of the film? I assume that's what Beyonce has been cast as. (In fact a quick google tells me they've cast someone else as "young Nala", so I'm assuming Beyonce is just the older version) Edit: Hogso beat me to it. Yes there's as younger one, but my impression of the cartoon is that when Simba returns to the Pride, he and Nala are only teenagers/young adults not fully fledged. But hey. The remake of Jungle Book was good and people rate Beauty and the Beast so I'm sure it'll be good.

Boy that was a colorful movie. It's like Luc Besson chucked Avatar, The 5th Element, John Carter, Star Wars The Phantom Menace and just went to town. Have not read the comic but the story was a bit rushed and you just had to go with it I guess. 5,5-6/10 I started to watch this because why not I went in with extremely low expectations and it is pretty much as expected, I switched it off after about an hour, I have no idea what the **** was going on in it, just lots of aliens and bad acting. The strange thing is that I reckon I might actually finish watching it on Sunday morning, it isn't good, far from it, but it requires absolute zero brain power.

Hide contents I was slightly disappointed that such an intelligent, thoughtful film culminated in a shoot-out. Seems to be almost mandatory and I was hoping for something a bit different. It was very similar to Hell Or High Water in that respect, which I believe was written by the same guy. Perhaps I'm missing the point. It' part of a frontier trilogy, the two films you mentioned and Sicario all go together in a strange sort of way. I thought wind river was great, good old fashioned film

Hey man, hakuna matata (I used to work with a lady whose first language was swahili. She told us that it means 'don't be naughty', and although to this day I've never seen any other reference to that translation of the phrase, I like to think it's true)
leemond2008
Happy Death Day - A teen slasher take on Groundhog Day, it wasn't actually too bad, just take it for what it is. A girl basically goes out on the lash and wakes up massively hung over in some random dudes bedroom, it just so happens to be her birthday, a surprise birthday party is thrown for her and she is murdered by a man wearing a baby mask She wakes up massively hung over in some random dudes bedroom it just so happens to be her birthday, a surprise birthday party is thrown for her and she is murdered by a man wearing a baby mask She wakes up massively hung over...you get the picture she has to figure out who is killing her over and over again in order to break the cycle. It was actually pretty entertaining and an easy way to waste 90 minutes, the acting was terrible but thats to be expected with these type of films, I wouldn't watch it again but it was ok anyway
leemond2008
Brawl in cell block 99 - I thought this was brilliant, completely over the top violence is what I am coming to expect from S Craig Zahler, I first discovered him when I read a book called 'Wraiths of a Broken Land' and then I watched Bone Tomahawk without knowing it was by the same dude, I thought the two were extremely similar in their style so I had a look online and sure enough they were both by the same bloke. Cell block 99 is a completely different setting though still has the same B movie violence and gore, it took a while to get used to Vince Vaughan playing that sort of role, I kept expecting Owen Wilson to jump out from behind a car and crack a joke, Vaughan played the part pretty well though I thought. Really enjoyed it

Was 10 in 94 mate... plus the jungle book was a good film so I'm expecting the same, it's got potential to be very good, beauty and the beast was a bit boring though imo
Rodders
About to enjoy The Big Lebowski again - with drinkalong White Russians to boot this time. A decision justified on the basis my partner has never seen the film.
AJ
Last night I thought it was Christmas. Finally able to watch a Villa game live on TV, but before that, T2 was on. It was even better watching the second time around, and is easily my favourite film for this year. I was very happy in the wee hours this morning... ... and then I switched over to watch Villa. Ingram85
If I describe (vaguely) the plot of an old western film would someone be able to identify it do you reckon? Various Google searches have proved fruitless.

Ingram85
It was colour, saw it about 4 months ago, maybe longer. Fairly sure it has Dean Martin and JW in it but I could be confusing two films into one. I'm fairly sure it's about the US army having a corrupt group of soldiers being based in a Mexican town and basically bullying and taking advantage of the people there. There's a firing squad scene. I'm sure the film starts with JW and DM escorting a herd of horses/wagon of foods which gets attacked and attempted hijacked. Like I said, I may have confused two films into one here. I was certain it was called Bandolero! But that film sounds different than the film I saw.
