Tim Howard spot on that we played into their hands. Everton are trash and the ref did the game absolutely no favors. Really disappointing tie.

Everton's game plan in the second half was clearly to just kick the shit out of us instead of playing. Refereeing awful too.

Only one team tried to play football today. 
 

Tarkowski tried to seriously injure Diaby and Moreno and only got a yellow. 
 

Cowardly ref let the whines of the home crowd get to him. 
 

Felt we were too hit and miss today and didn’t know how to respond to the desperate negativity and thuggery of Dycheball.

Worst ref going. It's a miracle he didn't cause another Brentford from his inability to manage a game.

Coote is the worst referee I've seen all season, he single-handedly ruined that game.

And that's not even counting the embarrassing 4 minutes VAR took for a blatant offside

How does VAR not give the penalty on Diaby? Completely missed the ball and kicked him in the shin.

Terrible officials, pretty dull game. Its an away point. We need to hope we can improve creatively in games like this. We had chances but so did they so fair result overall. 

Now go have a holiday for a few days and rest!

We got down in the mud and wrestled with a pig, and the pig loved it.

It probably feels worse than it is - we were the better side and we've come away with a point and a clean sheet from an away game at a side that aren't as bad as their league position suggests. We've not had the best of the referee and we've become used to snatching these, so it's a bit deflating, but we're okay I reckon.

Everton play a little bit on the edge and both their centrebacks are more than capable of getting away with a bit if the referee is weak - I thought Coote got weaker as it went on, but I don't think he quite ruined the game. 

We need to be a bit sharper up top, we need a couple of players back and we'll be fine.

I'm taking this one as another point gained.

Under today’s rules it was a penalty against Diaby. Funnily enough he was caught by The left back too.

we were th better side. Allowed ourselves to be dragged down to their level. Carlos, Dougie and the Duran the worst culprits. Duran should be forced to watch Jean-Pablo's welcome video twice a day,

Created enough to win that. 

But that's easily a game you can lose 1-0 due to their thug tactics. 

Take the point and move on.

As soon as I saw who the ref was I knew he would be bad, one of the worst referee performances I’ve ever seen. We have a lot of poor officials in the PL but Coote is another level of bad. On the game itself it was scrappy, thought we deserved the 3 points over the 90 minutes but lacked that cutting edge today.
