On the balance of things, a decent away point and keeps our ppg at the 2 mark.

Opportunity missed to climb though.

One good thing to mention, Luiz and Digne both avoided a card for once so will be available for West Ham. Either would've been big miss. They can pick up their bans for Luton perhaps.

From what I've seen of them Wolves are much better than their league position would suggest.  They battered Liverpool for 45 minutes before everntually losing, beat Man City, were robbed at Man Utd and unlucky at Palace.   A draw isn't a bad result there.

Ten points from Palace, Chelsea, Brighton, and Wolves a good return, happy not to go into the international break on the back of a loss, in the top five, and have two home games coming up.

Should have taken Ollie off at half time ..... he was being bullied out of the game from very early. Duran would have been a handful and would have held the ball up. All in all, some very bizarre substitutions ...... just when we needed to go after the game, we bring on two of our worst players !!!

We looked tired from minute 1. McGinn was erratic, Pau under hit everything, was weak and outpaced and Luiz had one of his worst performances in a Villa shirt. Diaby, Zanioli and Watkins were largely invisible so only really Cash and Konsa come out with any credit. Wolves offered so little and yet we barely pressed them or drove forward.

Getting a point playing like that is good, but it points to the fact our squad is really struggling with Europe on top, and injuries have only exacerbated it. Had that been a decent team, we'd have had a bit of a kicking today with how poor we were.

Regroup, rest and move on.

Play crap and get a point against one of our 2 bogey teams.  We got lucky and then ended up being unlucky with the last header of the game.. And thats all good. 5 wins 1 draw and 2 losses in the league. 16 points from 24 .2 points a game still . 

Dougie needs a rest . Konsa needs a rest. Digne needs a rest. Diaby needs a rest. They are 3 that should get a week in the sun to recharge the batteries while the int break is on. 

Cash and McGinn already need one but they have to go and play another 2 games and you know McGinn will be playing every minute.

Very decent point and could have been more.

However Luiz was poor again today so I expect Villa to sign at least one and probably two quality starting midfielders in January plus a forward than can really push Watkins. Prowse was a real miss at 30m.

Villa also need additions at FB.

Present 1st team players are going to be out on their feet by January.

Said it at the start of the season. Villa didn’t do enough in the summer transfer market.

Meh game in the end! Shame as we should’ve won at the end with Ollie.  Nobody shone but nobody really bad.  Not sure about the ref and VAR today either.  Just all a bit meh today.

I'll happily accept Everton swirling around the plughole and surviving if these utter horrible c*** get relegated.

Could have won it at the end but take the point and move on , still sitting 5th even though we’ve been a bit hot and cold in terms of performances and I’m confident we will improve as season goes on , international break comes at a good time for us as some players do definitely need a rest.

I think the first three or four matches EVER played between the two clubs were draws. It may not be the most frequent outcome of meetings, but it’s the most historically deeply rooted.

On balance fair. A win, after other results today, would have been outstanding but a draw is fair and keeps us in the pack.

A bogey fixture could have been worse, But another away game behind us.

Happy enough with the point.
