Gerrard is done.

Never learns from his mistakes. Still plays mcginn and ramsey after so many games of lacking control in midfield. Luiz was on for 15mins and already had a better game than Mcginn. Making Mcginn captain pretty much signalled the end of Gerrard. To put that responsibility on one of our most consistently poor performers.

He says he doesn't have favourites but he clearly does. Sanson not on the bench again.

Should be a matter of time before he is gone now.

Another away horror show. Absolutely destroyed in every department. Should have lost by 3-4. 

Mings and Konsa looks like a shadow of their former selves.

We either need to move SG on now or back him massively in the market.

I try to look at Aston Villa through an optimistic lens, but I just can't at this point. This is not the start from a team aiming for 7th, this is the start from a team aiming to be firmly relegated by March.

Just totally outplayed. The shape of the team is all wrong. Palace better in all departments.

Looking at our next 5 league games I'm struggling to see 2 points. Tuesday is a banana skin which is why it's on telly.

I'm not in the SG out camp yet but the pressure is inexorably growing on him.

It's not so much the defeats, it's the manner of the defeats which are very reminiscent of the last days of Deano. He has the players, for the most part, but what we see on the pitch is a disorganised mess.

Any half decent manager has his players doing the basics right but that is not the case at Villa.
