There are barely any bad teams this season.

Extremely worrying.

Even Everton put in a good away performance today. Even in our only win they had the only real threatening sustained spell from both teams early in the second half. We have looked toothless for 4 games running now. Not even one of the customary good 45 minutes from last year. Just consistently not good. Very worrying. You would never think a team that has a dilemma over whether to start Philippe Coutinho would be in serious danger of relegation, but here we are.

Premier League have become super competitive. If you have any weaknesses it will be exposed. You need to have a top manager, top back room staff, top player recruitment and top training facilities to stay in this league. One mistake and you are in trouble. Sadly we have messed up the appointments of our manager, and now we are paying the price for that. I still believe that we have enough quality in our squad to save us, but we need to get the next manager appointment correct.

Bournemouth are the only team worse than us and they'll have a bounce over next few weeks. We're in a real genuine relegation battle.

Even if we sack Gerrard, we have a disjointed squad, we don't know our best team but any injury to our front 6 will mean we have to change systems. We're not going to have any consistency between now and January with or without Gerrard, it won't be possible with the decimation to the squad.

We need to act, now.

3 Strikers, yet we favour playing with 2 Strikers. 1 injury, we can't.

2 (3?) wingers, 1 injury we can't play with wingers even if we want to.

2 10's (who are also the wingers), so there's depth here...but again, 4312 with 2 Strikers is a risk with an injury.

It is pretty low down on my concerns to be fair, but I worry that even with our very, very, capable squad. We'll be chasing our tails all season on systems with any injuries or needing to rest players.

No consistency could well mean relegation.
