On the positive side, he's won immortality there, will doubtless be featured forever in clips of all-time open-goal disasters.

Combined with taking it off Watkins. It’s an all time howler

Crikey, some of the shit we've had to suffer at this club over recent years and we're all gunning for Diego?

Not sure he's in the same category as some of the other spunkers we've had lads. Maybe not a club legend, but he's hardly dogshit.

The miss was bad but nowhere near as bad as some are making out, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as the Ronny Rosenthal miss for example as was suggested, ball came across him at speed and he missed open goal, that kind of miss is actually quite common which is why it will be forgotten about unlike Rosenthal miss which had the ball under his control, all the time, and an open net to shoot into but still missed.

Also Watkins probably should have scored it after Carlos missed it

You're absolutely correct. Then again, he's among the worst of the current crop, and it stands out, given how much we've upped the ante lately.

The miss was indecision as to what foot to go with, no instinct, it was bad but it's not kanu, you can see the whole process

Harsh on Ollie though, the touch would always take it away from him, if it was a complete air kick then fair enough

The miss was bad, but it wasn't the worst you'll ever see. He got mixed up on which foot to use. What makes it so bad was that he practically pushed Ollie out of the way to claim the goal. Fine, if you're going to do that, you need to at least know which foot you're going to score with.
