That to me is the funny thing - selling older expensive players is fine if you get good replacements. If you balls it up, not so much!

The guy has potential but its a new league, language etc so he will need time to adapt and probably wont be ready until summer. We also seen at Villa its hard to thrive when the team is also shit.

Sensible be keeping Digne until then and let the guy grow

Apparently he can’t defend. Did a good job of it today.

yep. yet another example of why we shouldn't listen to fans of the club they're leaving

After leaving Everton only 9 days ago and subjected to a hostile reception and being hit by a bottle, today showed character.

Good performance but I’m more encouraged by his attitude.

Unbelievably sticky defender. He gets tight without fouling. No interest in bashing Targett, a fine player but it’s a noticeable difference to see Digne ahead of the Luiz or Ramsey when they get the ball. Serious engine on him.

Big upgrade by the look of things so far.

Had one brainfart on the halfway line yesterday which without Ramsey showing some good maturity in his positioning combined with a shit pass would have landed us in trouble, but no one is infallible.

Fitness levels look insane and he’s going to be a real weapon for us down the left flank.

You are basing this off of 2 games?

Really

To be fair you did the same on Coutinho.  Digne has looked good, we know his history is good, we know he plays as a full back in the style Gerrard likes so it’s all good so far.
