Breakaway League

Dubai company offering Barca 1.2 billion and this sudden drop of charges seem linked to the superleague or the Champions league (which is becoming almost the same thing).

Barca are like a 5 year old in a toy shop with money, and have no permanent presidential structure. No one in their right mind would offer them money on favourable terms, unless they know something we don't.

Champions league managed to sneak in parachute payments and normal payments based on Co efficient and no one noticed, so I highly expect something further is on the horizon for the 2024 champions league onwards.

So the great and powerful UEFA have dropped all charges against the ESL6. No one has to pay any fines and it's all been forgotten about.

Very pathetic capitulation. But clearly the clubs are just more powerful than the organisations that are supposed to be in charge of them. Football is very broken

If UEFA can't punish clubs who mutiny against their organisation, is it any wonder we find the biggest clubs and the biggest international sides getting 'the benefit of the doubt' from referees when against lesser sides. It's all so horribly corrupt, and will probably only get worse, now the big teams know they can act with impunity vs a toothless UEFA

Well that's them telt

few rumblings on twitter of the resurrection of this being announced soon. no 'permanent' members which i guess was the main gripe previously but i guess if you still have founder members they will still have a head start over anyone else and therefore very unlikely to get relegated

chelsea, liverpool, and the 2 manc clubs signed up apparently. at least it also stops the mockery of arsenal and spurs being included. plus the madrids, milans, barca and juve to make up an initial 10 apparently.

Can't believe (the English clubs at least) are trying again so soon given the massive backlash the last time. Regardless of if they've dressed it up as something different
