If you’re at the level that even when a new signing drops a volley in the top corner on debut your reaction is to argue about how he couldn’t possibly have meant it you’re going to struggle to find much joy in the sport. Edit: to be clear I don’t mean the people saying “I don’t think he meant it” I mean the people posting repeatedly that there is no way he did and that those who are happy are fools. It may be frustrating when things go against us but I think he will be a big player for us. I’m trying to think who his style reminds me of.
