Callum Wilson

It'll come down to wages, contract length and playing time.

If we're planning on getting another striker, which we desperately need to, I think he'll choose Newcastle because he'll be their first choice striker.

If we wanted to sign him and no other striker, and he still rejects us, then we're doubly in the shit.

Chicken Jalfrezi for me on order and a Tikka Masala for Mrs F.  The Karate Kid (original) on the TV at 6:30.  Shaping up to be a decent evening 😁

The more I think about this the more I'm hoping that Sky have got this wrong (as they have on a number of reports).

Wilson would be a limited signing, as we're trying to set ourselves up for a full blooded 38 game season.

He'd be an option. Our bench was cack last year and he ain't great but he's definitely an upgrade.

Wouldn't mind this.

Similar to Cash deal, I think it's a good player for too much money.

He certainly wasn't good the second half of last season though.

In fact, it was his worst run he's had in his career. Is that the sign of him starting to decline? Or playing in a bad side and struggling?

Let's be sensible with any wages offered.

Hard to judge a good player in a poor team, after lockdown, Jack arguably had his worst run in a villa shirt.

If Wilson joins then he is probably better than most if not all of the strikers we currently have so would be an OK signing.

Personally would prefer us to go after someone else but if it is the player Smith wants then let's go for it.

I mean hasn't he said he would rather join Newcastle?

No quotes. Newspapers make things up. Especially in football news. I think we all know this really.

Don't Newcastle hand out 300 year contracts?

Whisper it, but Jack was really shaky since the League Cup final.

I think he was carrying an injury.

Something up with him.

Carrying the team more like.

He was poor for a while but came good when it mattered towards the end
