We are scoring goals from all over the pitch and will have to have been extremely unlucky to lose both Samatta AND Davis again We had to get a striker in as an absolute priority. We got one. At the same time another striker who has been injured at a very unfortunate time became fit again. And we have people available around the sides to fill in if needed. I repeat, it's not the end of the world. You have to go as high as 10th place Arsenal to find someone who has scored more goals than us in the whole table and beyond that to 7th placed Wolves. Scoring goals actually hasn't been our issue even with a single fit striker (who wasn't really scoring anyway) for the majority of the season so far. I mean someone to come off the bench every now and then. Rooney was 16 weren't he? Apparently he has been neglectful and not been trying to secure the right player(s) at the right price of the right character and is only Interested in signing players from obscure counties to boost our Twitter following ... ( last but made up for effect ) I guess we did once manage to sign Young & Carew many January’s ago so it should be easy to repeat this every year and the four things that need to be in alignment according to Smith in signing players is just an excuse.
