I maybe generalising massively but for me sites like Team Talk were amongst the first sites to monetise lies and information with no basis in fact and with zero oversight. Yes tabloids have been printing horse cack long before there was Team Talk, but it feels like there was some degree of comeback however small on any damaging lies. Football speculation is seen as harmless, rarely triggers legal challenges as people now expect it to be about 1% accurate. Yep not a typo...a third of all transfer activity in the Premier League so far is by Villa. It's an even higher proportion of you count the Wesley deal as basically complete! When the hell will this window get going?! Is everyone waiting for 1st July when many of the European leagues open? It would be great if clubs just kept refusing these stupid valuations and it just bought the price for players back down to more sensible amounts.
