VillaAlex
Very telling how talented he is and how much trust his teammates have in him to vote for him like that. Very rare for a player of his age and experience. Well done JJ.
villa4europe
I'd have him 2nd or 3rd in player of the season and even that is close, tired and lost a bit of form towards the end but other than that he's been excellent
AntrimBlack
That is quite an accolade for a player of his age in his breakthrough season.
bose
Huge boost for him as well. What a rise in just 1,5 years.
MWARLEY2
Well deserved. As one of the pundits said " look at him now and imagine what he is going to be like in 4 or 5 years "
briny_ear
Suggests he is well-liked as well as respected by his team mates so that bodes very well for the future.

I think we have put to much on him at such a early age. He shouldn't be a first teamer like he has been, he needs time. Disagree. Should 100% be a first teamer BUT to your point of time we should be forgiving of him when he has bad games or a poor run. He’s still learning and needs time - but he needs it learning his trade in the PL.

Interesting couple of seasons - World Cup will come too soon whatever happens as Southgate has said he doesn’t like late breakthroughs into tournament squads but he’ll be in the England squad well ahead of the Euros if he progresses. It's Your Round
I’m so pleased for JJ, he deserves all the praise heading his way. It’s fantastic to see another young local lad come through the ranks. Only this one seems much more level headed than the previous floppy haired version. He’s made a great start to his career, six goals and one assist in the premier league is no mean feat for a 20 year old. He’s only going to get better too. Popular Post lapal_fan
What could he improve on? This year, we've seen him running with the ball much more (and positive, progressive runs), we've seen he can score (good) goals with both feet. Maybe taking up dangerous positions and helping transitions a bit more? Alleviating pressure on our defenders by taking the ball from them in deep areas? I can't really put a finger on a weakness of his that won't come naturally through more games being played and growing stronger.. Which is a great sign. Keep it up Jacob!

mikeyp102
Seems odd he only had a couple U21s caps for England. Should have more.

Bigger clown than Southgate Not a clue how the FA keep getting the U21 manager so wrong and then almost stubbornly standing by that decision
