Popular Post Zatman
Should be a proud man tonight, without him his club wouldnt have made it to the Champions League. Not just the promotion and stability but the spine of our squad he left and what a legacy that is 33
Popular Post Davkaus
I hope somewhere Deano is raising a glass to his lads, and Stevie Me is stepping on an upturned plug.

Chindie Posted May 16 VT Supporter Share Posted May 16 Beat Chicago Fire away. Not a great game by all accounts but a solid free kick from Westwood to win it.
Popular Post Villan_of_oz Posted May 16 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted May 16 I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who wanted to come to this thread to again give my thanks and gratitude to Dean Smith. He was entrusted with guardianship of the team during some of our most difficult times, he was always humble and amicable towards fans. He conducted himself professionally and with dignity and achieved probably the most difficult task of getting us promoted. He then set some of the foundations of a team that could thrive in premier league. Thanks Dean, you will always be a favourite in my eyes.
Chindie Posted May 19 VT Supporter Share Posted May 19 (edited) Drew with LA Galaxy at home. This match is so bad that the highlight package includes a badly over hit corner. Not a badly over hit corner that turned into a chance, just a badly over hit corner. The corner is taken, sails over everyone's head, the last man collects it, and we cut to the next 'highlight'. Diabolical. Edited May 19 by Chindie

Yes he has ability, but he's got a long way to go to be the complete forward he can be.
VillaJ100
Was that in a cup? I'd imagine LA and Charlotte play in different leagues?

The MLS is mental - the league this year has 29 teams, 15 in the Eastern Conference and 14 in the West, and each team has 6 (or 7, if you're in the West) of inter conference games, and then the expected American playoff series. They don't really 'do' cup games like we do - there's technically 2 'domestic' cup competitions, but one was so unpopular with MLS teams that they've made a compromise where they only enter academy sides and the other one includes Mexican teams and takes place, entirely, in a midseason month long 'league break'. Coming from a European tradition of leagues and cups it's mental.

Ahhh I just assumed east and west had their own league and like the top 4 from both go into some sort of playoff
