I remember that game.... I stayed to beat the traffic. Seriously by the 80th minute the ground was practically empty, the quickest I've ever driven out of Villa Park after waiting for the final whistle....

Barry didn't.... He started at Brighton as midfielder for the yoof team, then he was utilised by JG as the left sided defender in a 3.... Eventually evolved into LM under Graham Taylor then eventually DOL had him moved infield as a centre mid.

I am enjoying it, but finding it a little bit laggy at the moment - not sure if it's just me (my machine is reasonable!) - there are some really good quality of life improvements, for example using roads to pass power and water. It'll develop like the 1st one anyway!

I'm really struggling to understand the digipik minigame in this. It just feels random... Am I suppose to make sure every single slot is filled on every ring using the different keys? Or what? Whenever I think I've cracked it I can't progress past the next ring despite making sure that the other keys line up...

Anyone else given this a go yet? There's a free playable demo that gives a good few hours gameplay. It's awesome, especially when the classic theme kicks in at your first bit of action. It seems to be getting a lot of love too, see the clip below.

Well the ref could have done something radical and pulled both captains together and inform them that a mistake had been made, the goal should have stood so it'll be awarded and the game will resume with a Totting Ham kick off. Controversial but it deals with the mistake quite quickly.

Apparently the final straw for John Gregory (in fact I think he was quoted on this) was that he had Diego Forlan and Andres D'Allessandro all but signed yet Ellis put a block on it due to how long it took Juan Pablo Angel to settle.

I would guess with our new modern setup, Heck on the Business and Monchi on the football they've basically sliced the ceo responsibility down to 2 roles without a full-time overall spearhead. I'm pretty certain that Hatton will be the glue that holds it all together

The summer we signed Draper, Southgate and Milosevic we were also very close to Les Ferdinand but he did an 11th hour u turn and joined Newcastle instead - the season they rode Man Ure very close to the title and Keegan had his "I'd love it if we beat him, love it...."

Not entirely sure on the mechanics of things but have just this second wondered (whilst sitting on the Isle of Wight ferry for the last time) if a player knows he's moving but nothings been agreed could they have a medical carried out at a certified medical centre to expedite the process of a transfer day deadline? Sure if there's an owner of a clinic about it could be a credible business venture. Don't mind me, just thinking out loud!
