Lost count of how many times under no pressure he gave the ball away leading to a counter attack. When we don't have the ball in tough games he has a very bad trait of when finally receiving it....trying a really really really stupid difficult pass. We don't have a single consistent, high volume passer, we have a collection of high risk, low volume passers, who largely prefer to attempt to switch play quickly or hit it over the top when they can't turn and carry. We don't have a low risk, high volume passer because we purposely play in a way that doesn't utilize a low risk, high volume passer. Instead, we keep trying to rush the ball up the field whether it's through aimless long balls from Mings or Martinez of through our midfielders such as Mcginn rushing the ball up the pitch to our attackers. I'm sure Luiz has the passing ability to play that water carrier role if the management really wanted him to do it.
