The fenian movement were a big part of kickstarting the last irish move against british oppression which won independance a few decades later. Weird that some people think its offensive to the irish

I think this misses the context in which the word is used slightly. In (particularly the west of) Scotland, the word is used not so much to refer to the Irish Republican Brotherhood but more generally as a sectarian slur against any Scottish person from an Irish Catholic background - added to the history of anti-catholic discrimination up there it then takes on a whole new (and much more offensive) meaning. While it may not be offensive to Irish people per se, it is likely to be understood very differently by a Scottish person of Irish descent, such as John McGinn

Looked very poor today, even poor before he went down. Looks ill or hungover, because he was blowing after about 15 minutes. It's such a shame we don't get consistent performances from him.

Or concussed maybe?  It happened really early on in the game.

Are you sure you weren't watching hungover?

He was in the wars today so credit to Super John. I saw him pop two painkillers on the pitch after the clash so was obviously a nasty one.

Nah, those were acid, he was literally trippin' balls before they took him off.

Rewatching now and in retrospect it’s very easy to see he was concussed. Not that he was playing badly but twice basically fell over and twice missed shouts to leave it, most notably giving them a corner when the ball was basically out already. Surprised he stayed on as long as he did and good on everyone involved to use the concussion sub.

Interestingly Everton made four subs as well - assume if there’s a concussion sub both sides get one so people can’t be using it to fake a reason to make changes.

That’s my understanding of the rules. Hope SJM is ok.

could clearly see him taking something during treatment after the first corner. I don't understand why we just didn't take him off after that. Not a fan of taking chances with concussions..

Assuming that Young or Nakamba will draw in next weekend because no way should/(will) he be available
