USA_Villa
I don't care what the result of the game is as long as the overall end result is Bruce being fired on Wednesday. Honestly, we look clueless.
mjmooney Posted September 11, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted September 11, 2017 I think the ideal would be a terrible Villa performance, with Boro hitting the woodwork several times, Johnstone scrambling away all their chances, and then Villa scraping a totally undeserved 1-0 with a late and clearly offside goal. We get the points, and Dr. T gets the point.
The Fun Factory
I would give De Laat over Bree and Jedinak if fit over Whelan to freshen it up a bit. I would also like to see Adomah start as he was one of our best consistent performers last year and he is playing his old club.
Rugeley Villa
Just cannot see how we will get anything from tomorrow. Outside chance of nicking a point, but that's no good to us at all at the moment. First home game since we got relegated that I'm convinced we will get beat. Vive_La_Villa
Young Barcelona star signs for Villa. Gets relagated. Leaves for Premier League clubs as doesn't want to play in Championship. Gets relegated again. Lines up against the club he didn't want to play in the Championship for. We all know what happens next.... Could only happen to Villa. thunderball
Traore will haunt us. Our back line are like lumbering statues, our midfield avg age is 40. One thing we can't handle is pace. It's going to be a painful night, and probably Bruce's last one in the dug out.
DevonIsAPlaceOnEarth
Have a strange feeling this will be a dour 0-0 again, and that will be the end of the Bruce era in front of a very modest crowd.
Hornso
Gestede is out with an injury yes? At least we won't be undone by a Gestede header off an Adama assist. Battling 1-1 draw for me.
Raver50032
Anyone know what our overall record is against Gary Monk sides?
villan-scott Posted September 12, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2017 I can see a dull, turgid game coming up where neither side will be focused on winning, and just not losing. I have a Boro supporting friend up in Stockton who says Monk has been fairly conservative and defensive away from home, barring the spanking of Bolton at the weekend. A win for us tonight and it'll be massive with the September fixtures looking kind on paper.
mwj
AVTV page seems to be setup like its going to be shown: https://www.avfc.co.uk/Fixtures/2010 to 2019/2017-2018/English Football League - Championship/Aston Villa vs Middlesbrough?MatchDetails=1 But I thought they didn't show cup competitions? Does anyone know if you can do this if your account is registered in the UK and you allowed to pay to watch the match with a UK Credit Card? Yes you can. I have been watching games this way. Villan_of_oz Posted September 12, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2017 Predicting an battling 0-0 against quality opposition. No shots on target but that's ok as it will be a 'good point' away.......

He will know Bruce is under pressure with the fans ready to turn so Monk will go for the throat.
rubberman
Think it'll be a drab 0-0, so almost certainly a 5-4 thriller.
villaglint
Anybody think we'll get a shoeing tonight and then return the favour next week when we put the kids out! Would certainly send a clear message!
Demitri_C
2-0 easy boro win with bruce sacked tomorrow is my opinion. The only bonus is rudy is out as you know he woukd score. So that leaves traore to do it instead
