Mile Jedinak

Can't see any justification to bring him back in especially if Hourihane replaces Westwood in the team. Hourihane has more interception and tackles than Jedi and obviously massively better attacking capabilities.

Away to the bench with you.

Could've done with him coming in after the hour mark yesterday. Shame he was injured as think he would've got us over the line

Seeing as we have issues with holding on to leads, he could yet be a pretty useful option over the next couple of years doing this imo.

Like that lad at Chelsea that Mourinho loved, whose name I've forgotten.

Probably being sold back to palace so we can play Westwood

He has been carrying a groin injury for a number of weeks which they have been trying to manage. On Friday after Lansbury had signed they decided to treat it by giving him an injection in his groin meaning he will be out for a while.

  • 2 weeks later...

Jedinak adds something different.. Hourihane is just a better version of Weswood.. etc. Jedinak is probably our only midfielder than can have a physical presence and win headers. Hes also a true leader.. its easy to have the C next to your name but he barks orders and lifts the team.

He has to be the anchor with Lansbury the more attacking midfielder being the advanced role.. and Hourihane linking the defence and attack.

He's pretty woeful in possession, but with a new midfield it might not be as big of an issue. In the previous midfield, as a 'leader' he probably felt he had to try to do something when others weren't. I don't imagine we'll have that lack of forward thinking from the new midfield.

WiN the ball and give it to hourihane or Lansbury and all will be well - passing has never been a strength of jedinak,
