Am I right in thinking a large part of his goals has been from set pieces?

Yes, nearly all of them. They give way more penalties in The A league than here.

And the goals might not be twice as wide but the keepers are not I expect quite the standard they are here.

I will give him this though. To score a free kick he has to get it on target,  not hit the wall or put it over/wide so that would be a serious improvement.  Not sure we can accommodate a free kick specialist though.

McCormack's goals versus Perth

Has netted 12 goals now, 2nd in the league this season and equal 5th all time for Melbourne City in the A-League. Has another game coming up on the weekend.

His attitude has been great all season, its very easy for a foreign player to come to the A League and cruise their way to a pay cheque.

imo would be a useful player to the limited options we have up front at the moment

I agree but I still remain convinced that won't happen while Bruce remains in charge here.

It's not all about Bruce. There were a lot of rumours about McCormack having issues under RDM as well, seemingly was going through some family and personal problems.

I kept saying the guy has a proven track record and could do a job in the championship but needs a manager that believes in him.  12 goals in 14 games for Melbourne City. Yes its a lower level but he could have been an asset into the second half of the season

And he would be setting such a great precedent for the whole squad what with his inability to take instructions or even to turn up when asked. The wee fella might be doing well down under but I'd be heartily surprised if we saw him in an english league ever again.

Another thread slowly being turned into it's Bruce's fault.

His problems are well documented. Celebrated when they got rid of him at Fulham, nightmare for rdm, nightmare at forest, nightmare for Bruce.

Countless people in the game can't all be collectively wrong about the same guy.

Very poor and expensive signing.

signing him when we did made sense. he had a great record coming here for scoring for fun at this level.

unfortunately it hasnt worked out, sometimes they dont.  whether bruce could/should give another chance is irrelevant.  once the trust is gone its gone

I totally agree - Bruce has held out an olive branch to others - who have no recent track record of scoring- so surely he could do this for RM - who you would figure would come back in a positive mindset and looking to prove Bruce wrong?
