It wouldnt annoy me so much if they were going out of business and say a club like Wolfsburg bought them as a feeder club and changed the name to Sutton Wolves and changed the kit colours to green it wouldn't bother me so much, as it would mean there's still a club at the bottom of my road.. But that's because I don't expect Sutton to ever compete at a good level. Would be different with Villa obviously but I'd accept something like that at Sutton Coldfield Town. It all depends on the mindsets of the supporters there, would they rather be a claret and blue Lyngby Villa (and still have a club), or nothing at all? EDIT - just to add, I see they changed their name for 7 years from Lyngby BK to Lyngby FC in the 90s so its not that alien to them anyway. Lyngby might be a small club but they are 100 years old and have 5 domestic titles and competed in Europe this season.
