Isa
But surely Leicester would just go with 11m and hope we would back out? Why would they jump up by 3m? Would make no financial sense. Maybe they feel there is more chance of us backing out if we have to raise by that much? It has been claimed by a reputable outlet so it's probably true that they have bid. Whether it will have an effect on our move for him is another matter.
Zatman
Nantes - "yes, we've accepted villas bid of 10 million" Leicester"will you accept our bid of 13million then?" Bullshit. from the Martin O'Neill school of transfers
holtend4life
Trent may say it is on, but he also didn't think Delph wouldn't go. I hope he is correct on this occasion. Double negative means you've implied Trent was actually right you know Edited July 28, 2015 by holtend4life
Keyblade
From a Leicester forum Given the choice of a team going backwards and selling its best players, managed by Captain Bellend, or a team ending the season strongly, aiming for top half and europe within the length of a normal contract, managed by Claudio Ranieri? It's a no-brainer. Going to Villa after the way they've gone about the summer is a sign of criminal underambition.

Mantis
Funny how Leicester fans are going on about us selling our best players when they let their own (34-year old) best player walk away for free... Edited July 28, 2015 by Mantis

omariqy
This usually happens with most deals. Bid is accepted and player is having talks. Then bam random reports of clubs trying to come in the last minute. Happened with Gueye and Amavi. Just chill.

thunderball
Thing is though Leicester have loads a money so can throw him more than we would offer as their marquee signing, and they are desperate.

Popular Post TrentVilla Posted July 28, 2015 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted July 28, 2015 Trent may say it is on, but he also didn't think Delph wouldn't go. I hope he is correct on this occasion. Well, yes I did but then in fairness I've got a damn sight more right than wrong and I was right on Delph to a point he was staying but changed his mind. Things change and I'm not on speed dial from Sherwood which is always why I'm cautious because by the time I've heard something and posted it things could have changed. What happened with Delph is the perfect example, other factors can come into play and other teams although I'm really not concerned about Leicester on this one. I've certainly not said this is done but I'm optimistic put it that way, I think and hope we will wrap it up.
