Just read the first few pages of this thread. So much hope.

What a complete and utter let down.

Fair play to the people who called it before he signed, you were bang on the money. I thought he'd be a great signing.

Would much prefer to have been wrong about him tbf.

Who'd be that stupid. He's an abomination of a footballer, not sure I've ever seen a worse player at the Villa who has played as much as him. He's a tumour in the squad.

Absolutely. Simply could not believe what i was seeing with him sometimes. I would put him at no.1 for worst player I've seen play for villa

The 28-year-old has not played since the 1-1 draw with Wolves in mid-October, which was both his first Championship start of the season and boss Steve Bruce's first game in charge.

Richards has now been placed on a specialised programme in order to try and solve the problem, with Bruce admitting the next few weeks will be crucial.

“Micah’s started a six to eight week programme that we thought would be best for him," said the boss.

“We need to get his knee to a place where he feels comfortable.

“The big, important time for Micah is in the next couple of weeks because he’s down into that programme.

“We hope that he can recover from his knee injury but it seems to be an on-going problem for that lad which is hugely disappointing.

“But we’ll give him the time to see if we can get it recovered."

I would never have got this transfer right myself.....I thought it was a coup when we got him.

how can a player fall from grace so much.....at City he was formidable;)

I saw near the start of the window there was a rumour linking him to a Chinese club for 8m. I was very excited until I realised it must be bullshit. Even a Chinese club wouldn't be that loose with their money.

Wait, he's still at the club? Honestly thought he'd gone out on loan somewhere for some reason.

I think you misheard. He didn't go out on loan, he stayed home alone.

Is there really much of a reason for him to get his knee sorted out?  Even without carrying any injuries he is shot to shit. His body is done, it's gone. We should just settle his contract in all honesty.

Nobody is going to pay a fee for this guy, nobody is going to cover his contract, nobody is going to contribute to his salary. He might get a gig at Rotherham if he is lucky but I don't think they are awash with cash to make it even worth our while.

Yep, just by pundits like Paul Merson or Jamie Redknapp though. Anyone who know's their football and ever saw him play will know he was turd.
