HanoiVillan
We desperately need to get rid of him, but I can't believe anyone will take him off our hands. He should be mortified, as a professional. He ended the season unable to get into by far the worst defence in the league, his place taken by Kevin Toner, a basically average youth team player who had never played a professional match before. But if he gives a shit, there's no sign of it. Just another waster, but he was team captain and he should have given so much more. One of the main culprits for me. mwj
Probably could have posted this in any one of about 4 threads, but Micah is probably due some http://statsbomb.com/2016/05/didnt-work-out-the-premier-leagues-worst-transfers-2015-16/ "For Richards it’s more of a sad tale having been long beset by injury problems, but his recruitment screams of a Sherwood gambit; you can envisage the conversation: “Helluva player was Micah, if we can just get him back to his best…” and boom, a four year contract lands in the post. He too was young enough to hope for but also hadn’t managed anything like a full season or even a half season since 2011-12. The possibility of his retained fitness seemed remote, and to his credit he has achieved that, but certainly he is not the player he was, and even a cursory review of his recent career and problems with injury would reveal that. He may well now continue his career at Villa and find the Championship more to his current level."

Started well then he was found out to be a terrible defender. Also a terrible attitude mixed in with creeps like lescott, flabby and bacuna and voila you have a disaster on our hands that leads to relegation. between him and flabby two of the biggest disgraces to ever captain the club. Just leave our club neither of you deserve to be here to share our exciting future.

He was shamelessly skinned by Januzaj for their goal.I think it's a total myth that he started well, that game was very early on and he was shite from that point on. If by that you mean cracking him round the back of the head with a shovel and burying him in the desert then yes, RDM should do exactly that. Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted May 29, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted May 29, 2016 17 minutes ago, Supervillan78 said: Is he beyond redemption? Would RDM give him another crack in the Championship? I don't think redemption is the issue here - for some of our players, it most definitely is, the important bit was the schism, the way that they separated themselves from us and the way the whole club suffered as a result of players behaviours and attitude - there was some of that from Micah Richards, but not so much that he couldn't win it back. The real issue with him is that last season proved beyond any doubt that his positional sense, his workrate and his defensive qualities mean that he's just not good enough to be playing Premier league football. If we'd dropped him earlier we'd have had a better chance of selling him; he looks like a Premier League footballer, like that's what he should be, he certainly had me fooled at the start of the season, it's only when he's playing games that you notice that he's not - if we'd stopped playing him at Christmas, then I'm sure there would be clubs who'd have forgotten that by now. As it is, I think we might struggle to get rid of him and he might struggle to get a move - the only thing that gives me some hope that he will is that he's clearly got a very, very good agent - he's a walking advert for the money you can earn from a good agent and a decent physique - I hope he gets to prove that again this summer.
