All we can hope for, at this stage and indeed for the last few decades, is to get a few seasons out of any players who are good enough, then get a good price for them if they get the chance to move on to better things.

Any player who is good enough will want to win things, and until we become a club that wins things, that is the way it will be. That is how it is for the vast majority of clubs.

So what to do? Enjoy them while you have them.

So, saw two sides to him tonight. On the one hand he is quick and good on the ball and has a good eye for goal. On the other, he doesn't seem to have a good awareness of other players and often failed to see the right pass. Talented but frustrating.

He's a very good talent indeed, great performance from him this evening, he's got the makings of being a great player, he's also a very nice guy, was a joy to watch him this evening

Thought he was the best player on the pitch , if i could criticize in any way , tries to do too much

He was brilliant, it was the best performance I've seen from him, it's hard to believe that he's only 17 years old

And also very young. These things will improve with more game time at a higher level. Really looking forward to seeing this kid get a chance this season.

18-year-old striker rumoured to be linked with the Sky Blues

Reports are circling on social media that Aston Villa are prepared to let striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy out on loan - and Coventry City are eyeing up the young talent.

It has been well documented that the Sky Blues have been struggling for firepower this season, so fresh blood up front has been a big priority for Tony Mowbray this transfer window.

With the Villains recently drafting in French striker Jonathan Kodija, it is believed that Hepburn-Murphy is currently seen as surplus to requirements at Villa Park, but some League One experience could benefit his career.

The England under 18 forward has made two top-flight appearances for Villa and the forward became their youngest Premier League player after coming on for Christian Benteke in March 2015.

Despite the Birmingham-based club slipping down into the Championship, he's had limited opportunities to showcase his talents, and looks set for a loan move.

Good news if it works out.  Best of luck!
