So on January 1st Lambert signed a new 5 year :o contract with Ipswich. with them sitting in 2nd place.

And since then they have played 14 games and lost 7 and only picked up 15 points. Dropped down to 10th in the table with their chance of a play off spot dropping away fast.

Seems oddly familiar.

Did a good job keeping us up. Sadly turned into a dinosaur in his last season.

We played some good stuff in his 1st season.

Were you there?

I was. It was nearly all shit apart from the odd game. Bloke's a fraud.

I’m convinced managers do this on purpose.

Get Job -> Work hard for 12 months -> big money contract extension when the club are well placed and owner doesn’t want to risk instability -> bring down the house of cards you built and walk away with a huge sum of money.

Get new job, start cycle again.

A managerial version of players playing for a new contract and then settling in for a couple of years doing f all.

We've had a fair few of those over the years.

Come on bro.

It wasn't all bad under him.

Nearly all shit apart from the odd game you could say this season as well. Does that mean Smith is a fraud?

Lambert had a truly awful team and somehow managed to keep us up for 2 seasons.
