Wainy316
Didn't realise how pants things are at Leicester. Looks like they'll be a much weaker team this coming season.
villa89
The definition of a club going no where. They had their moment in the sun and got a league and cup out of it. Now they revert to their real place which is midtable nothingness.
PieFacE Posted August 2, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted August 2, 2022 Still a good team with a good manager. They're in a better position than us imo in terms of their squad and manager. Underachieved last season no doubt but had some bad injuries.

I'd take a Premier League win and then relegation to League Two over subsequent seasons over just existing in the Prem. I mean, my God, they defeated all the odds and won the greatest trophy (some will say CL, Prem is harder) possible in a time when that possibility is becoming harder and harder to achieve.

I'd take their past 6 years history even if it meant we'd finish midtable nothingness for the next 30 years afterwards.
Villatillidie95
Its been a great time for them but 6 and a bit years on its starting to wind down for them as you would expect, they need to sell to buy however they still have a good team and will be tough for them to be worse than they were last year, they were so up and down. The players that they had back then and with schmeicel moving on now means they have to leave that period behind and look forward. Think they are a competitive team and will be a threat to us still, but you can see from afar now that the feelgood factor since then has declined a bit and on a downward trend. The ownership look like they may be starting to lose interest or tighten their belts with the economic situation so who knows what will happen with regard to their transfer dealings. I reckon Fofana and Maddison sales will be sanctioned by the ownership if they can get reasonable deals in the pipeline. Leicester will spend any money quite well imho and don't think they have anything to worry about anytime soon

Jimzk5
Wonder if maddison will try and force this, you'd imagine a pretty big contract offer on the table from Newcastle
sharkyvilla
I don't really see why Leicester don't have money to invest without selling their bigger names. They seem to have been well run without giving out silly contracts all over the place and not that much waste in the transfer market.
HanoiVillan
The owners' wealth comes from duty free shops at airports, I imagine it's been a pretty miserable last few years for them so there's probably no cash to inject.
