TRS-T
Yeah he did dive in unnecessarily.
AndyM3000
Well having seen Baker do that 10 times per game maybe that's what it takes to get into the matchday squads these days.
mikeyp102
With us seemingly going for a more experienced side at the moment. I don't think we'll see much of okore until jan time
TRO
After a big injury, he will have to work his way back in, it's just nice to be able to allow him that time.
The Fun Factory
Not withstanding the injury I thought he would have played some part in the last 2 games tbh- he is below Baker and Clark in the pecking order it seems. If he is not getting game time by xmas I could see a loan for him in the new year.
DCJonah
Is surprised he didn't start yesterday. He must be well off the pace at the moment.
StefanAVFC
For what must be the 100000th time, he had a torn cruciate ligament. It is a huge injury, one of the worst sporting injuries you can do. (and come back from)(sorry donnie) He isn't being rushed back and damn straight. He was fit enough to go off and play international football in the week.
StefanAVFC
He's not contracted to the national team. He's our player. And Lambert obviously doesn't think he's ready.
VillaChris
Clearly Lambert dosen't think he's ready to start as he's been making the bench ahead of Clark in recent weeks.

AndyM3000
If he isn't fit/up to pace of the game then why is he on the bench as our only CB cover, that is a huge risk. Donacien would be more useful to us if he thinks Okore is nowhere near fitness/match sharpness. Shame he is out on loan.
YLN
I tore my ACL a couple of years ago and I was back playing within a few days. No actually now that I think of it, I haven't run since
SikhInTrinity
I don't think this has anything to do with fitness, the reason why Clark and Baker have been picked ahead of him is due to them being more comfortable on the left side of defence. If Okore plays then Senderos would be more likely to be shifted to the left side.

Lambert has stated that he prefers natural left footed players for the left centre back side. It does make a difference from an organizational point despite many right-footed players doing that role. If Okore plays then Vlaar or Senderos would be moved to the left side as they're the more experienced ones and would cope better. The whole left sided and right sided CBs may not be a big deal for defences that have played for a while together but in teams like Villa that have to form new CB pairs every couple of months it's a thing to consider and does make a difference. Makes sense if we want the team to pass the ball out of the back.

I think its quite obvious okore isn't up to speed yet after missing a year of football.
