They had believed that the military was there for Trump and at the right moment Trump would declare martial law. The military would then turn on Biden and Pence et al and begin the mass arrests of the global elites / pedophile ring / corrupt election fraudsters etc (pick your favourite grievance).  The arrested 'traitors' would be taken to Gitmo and Trump would resume his presidency for a second term.

Edit: It's probably also worth noting that that seems to only have become 'the plan' in the last couple of weeks. A few weeks ago it was apparently Pence who was going to return Trump as president by refusing to certify the election and a few weeks before that it was a Supreme Court challenge that was going to do it for them. Obviously 'the plan' is just updated each time the prophecy is not realised.

Yes, this was the rough sketch as I understood it. In recent days there was also some talk about power outages and emergency announcements through a war-time radio network or something; I'm hazy on the details but there seem to have been a lot of people buying several days of provisions and playing with ham radios for whatever reason.

I'm sure many people reading this are already familiar with William Miller and 'The Great Disappointment', but if you aren't, the situation had a lot of parallels. William Miller was a preacher who predicted the second coming of Christ sometime in 1843 or 1844. He built up a mass of thousands of followers - including in this country - but each time a date was set, based on various different ancient calendars, the day would pass with no sign of Christ. His confused followers began to take control of the movement, proposing different possible dates, and on and on it went.

An important thing about the Millerites is that there was no 'end' to the delusion. Some did gradually drift back to more normal beliefs, but others joined other odd religious groups, began behaving like children (based on a Bible verse), claimed that Christ had come secretly, or retreated into a nihilistic belief that Christ would never return. In the same way, I don't think we should expect that Q-Anon will end; rather, it will metamorphose into something else. The sunk costs fallacy, among other things, means that many (most?) people who have truly dug into Q and lost friends and family along the way are not going to give up the beliefs easily.

The rounding up and arrest of the cannibalistic child trafficking ring was to be known as 'The Storm'.

Much like an end of the world cult, they kept setting dates for it and everytime it passed they'd come up with an excuse and a new date.  The last hope was at the inauguration yesterday.  During which the national guard would arrest them all and take them to an underground bunker where they'd face immediate trial.  This would be broadcast on every TV channel.

Seems the only storm we got in the end was Christoph.

Lets see what approach biden takes on

Iran

North Korea

I'm a bit of a DPRK watcher, and they have been ratcheting up the rhetoric about the nukes again ( the development of miniaturized nuclear warheads amongst others ( these would be more of a direct threat to Japan and S Korea than America directly)   , they also specifically mentioned  hypersonic boost-glide vehicles !! ) as well as showing off some Pukguksong-5's   at the most recent military parade in Jan   , though noticeably no Hwasong long range ones.

However , at the recent workers party congress , the North repeated the line  that  US policy toward North Korea will never change no matter who is president , but KJU deliberately left himself able to resume engagement with Washington  if / when the time comes... Its a small thing to most , but previously  the US was always referred to at these gatherings as the " sworn enemy" ..this time around , they were referred to as  the "principal enemy" ... its a subtle shift but in DPRK terms it's quite sizeable

Those damned right-wing terrorists at it again.

"People dressed in black and with their faces covered broke windows and the glass door at the Democratic Party of Oregon business office in Portland, spray-painting an anarchist symbol over the party sign, video posted on social media showed.

“We don’t want Biden. We want revenge for police murders, imperialist wars, and fascist massacres,” read a banner they marched under."

You think this is weird? A demagogue keeps saying things like 'Chinavirus', spews rhetoric at China and behaves like a two year old who dropped his ice-cream cone even in his own democratic country.

This is fairly common behaviour from one dictator to another.

Well the US did open the latest round of sanctioning citizens of countries. So hardly surprising that it starts to rebound on them somewhat over time. This here is a largely symbolic thing, but quite pointed.

It was damn near impossible to find video of this Hannity showed a top down view and The Daily Mail had a picture. That said, anti government is anti government so it doesn’t matter who is in power. Hope the book is thrown at them.

Awful.

And your point is?

I imagine the point is that left-wing protesters are capable of being violent too, which is a true and fair point.

This vandalism isn't as important as invading the seat of government in an attempt to overturn a democratic election, obviously, but it's pretty commonplace on the America right to justify or excuse the latter by referring to the former.

So, two wrongs do make a right... wing attempt at justification?

Oklahoma Rep. files bill to establish Bigfoot hunting season

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — A bill to establish a Bigfoot hunting season was introduced in Oklahoma Wednesday.

Representative Justin Humphrey wants Oklahoma Wildlife Commission to establish a Bigfoot hunting season.

Humphrey represents a large part of southeastern and south-central Oklahoma that is infamous for bigfoot sightings. They even host a bigfoot festival every year. This year's activities were canceled due to COVID-19.

"The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission shall promulgate rules establishing a Bigfoot hunting season. The Commission shall set annual season dates and create any necessary specific hunting licenses and fees". You can read the bill here.

If passed the bill would be effective November 1, 2021.
