Hey little girl is your daddy home?

Did he go away and leave you all alone.

Oh no, I've got a bad desire.

Oh, I'm on fire.

The Boss aint no kiddyfiddler!

Actually should start a thread for dodgy lyrics, that one would be in there.

Rock and Roll, parts 1 and 2, are ace. Probably one for the unpopular opinions thread.

Even putting aside my bias due to it being used in the opening of “…morning glory”, I think “Hello, hello, I’m back again” has storming chorus.

Just sung by sick piece of shit.

And then it gets worse..

Tell me now baby is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
Oh, I'm on fire

I don't know how he thought these lyrics were okay.. 🤣

It's about as dodgy as I'll be watching you by Police. When you think about those lyrics it sure does raise some questions..

Somewhat off topic, but without the subsequent context of the rest of the lyrics, I feel the opening verse of the 1964 UK number one song “Little Children” does not read very well…

Little children, you better not tell on me
I'm tellin' you, little children, you better not tell what you see
And if you're good, I'll give you candy and a quarter
If you're quiet, like you oughta be and keep a secret with me

(For those who don’t know, it transpires the song’s protagonist is dating the kid’s sister - whom I assume is of consenting age - trying to keep the children from telling their parents)

I just don’t think anyone hoping for a successful song would kick it off with a verse like that anymore  :D

A UK number one for Gary Puckett and the Union Gap in 1968:

Young girl
Get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young, girl

With all the charms of a woman
You've kept the secret of your youth
You led me to believe you're old enough
To give me Love
And now it hurts to know the truth

Whoa, oh, oh, young girl
Get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young, girl

Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
And though you know that it's wrong to be
Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes

Whoa, oh, oh, young girl
Get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young, girl

So hurry home to your mama
I'm sure she wonders where you are
Get out of here before I have the time
To change my mind
'Cause I'm afraid we'll go too far

Whoa, oh, oh, young girl
Get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young, girl

I understand that hebephilia is because pubescent girls can reproduce, but paedophilia has no use in nature other than power and abuse. This is why I believe there should always be a distinction between the two.

Agree with both points, biologically its a possible driver. You then have the ones in powerful positions where it is about abuse and power. But you then have the social outcasts/people who have always been loners or bad with the opposite sex where there is an oppotunity through vulnerability to get what they potentially have never had.

Ulitmately I think you can ignore the biological driver its a society problem, it was once acceptable to wed a minor luckily times move on. The abuse mentaility of it however I dont know how we deal with that as a society.
