He is not starting for us because he is crap, not to mention lazy. One of the laziest footballeys ever. Make captain>Start him>Strip captaincy>drop him>don't talk to him (within, what, six weeks?) And then expect him to put 100% effort in. Classy. Or...you have no clue what really went on behind the scenes and are just making assumptions? TBF they aren't assumptions what happened is fact. The reasoning behind it is unknown though but if you have an light to shed please do. I for one am baffled by the way he was treated especially taking into account his value and cost to us. Looks to me like we did everything we could to get rid of him, we got his wages off the books for a year and got a 2m loan fee for him and then sent him out on loan twice this season. And he gave it 100% everytime he stepped on the pitch for us which is the least to be expected from a pro footballer especially one that was being paid a fortune eg. Bent. People quoting Darren Bent to try and prove something about Lambert is just pure funny, it proves nothing and all Bent is showing is that he has a major attitude problem by having a dig in the first place a few weeks back.
