I think since his career at villa, he just went downhill. Sure he won stuff at cuty but didnt contribute much to them winning anything.

He was a superstar in the making at villa

He did start about 20 games one season for Man. City...at left back. Then got sent off recklessly in one game and Pep stopped picking him. Basically did a Milner of going to Man. City just to play anywhere to win some trophies rather than stay here or go elsewhere where he could've established himself at central midfield.

His whole Everton career a waste of time bar helping them a bit in last 5 games of last season before he got injured yet again.

Can't see a prem side wanting him with his endless injuries so can see him winding up at a Stoke or Boro .

I'd would 100% take 2013-15 Delph over McGinn. He was a snake and never City caliber, but he was very good for us.

Same delph was a beast for us. Consistent and in a shitter team

And still we're the only club that he's played 100 games for.

Am I the only one who is staggered by this revelation?

In my mind he was here for about three weeks.

He came to the club when Milner and Young were still here. He spent a lot of time injured. Wasn't until Lambert that he got a proper run in the team amazingly enough, and he was quite shit that first season but Lambert stuck with him. Next 2 seasons he was immense, and then he moved to City.

6 long painful years. He along with Gabby was a symbol of our decline

Alan Hutton was still in the bomb squad back then rather than being regarded as one of the better players... The decline was just getting started

Surely no-one can question how good Delph was for us. He was superb.

Nah…

Darius Vassell and Stuart Taylor aside?
I cant find any good words to say about any player that left us for Man City…

But it's a fact that Delph was good for us?

Would you say Grealish was no good for us as well then? There's being annoyed about the way someone left but their performances for us are cold hard facts.

What they did is forgotten as soon as they ditched us for Man City…

Especially the latter one… who saw what that club did to ours for over a decade, how they actively conspired to put us into the worst period of our clubs recent history… and then STILL joined them
