Yeah have to say that's one of my favourite seasons of any series ever. I am a massive fan of Lithgow though so may be biased. Only the last season was really disappointing for me. I listened to a review of it on radio and the overall opinion seemed to be, "What's the point?" Spoiler alert below regards the original series for those who haven't seen it and plan to. Spoiler Part of the initial interest was in seeing whether he could ever learn to control his urges and, if not, how he managed to keep it up without getting caught as situations in his personal and professional life made it trickier and trickier. Ultimately, it wasn't moving forward anymore and it made sense to conclude it, though the manner in which that was done was really disappointing. Now we learn that he started a new life and controlled his "need" for 10 years but suddenly it's started up again. Back to square one in a new environment. Oh, and apparently his sister is back from the dead to speak to him. It sounded like it was set up to be a big disappointment. Then the random girl sub plot. Ridiculous. The only interesting thing for me is Dexter himself and his cop girlfriend and the inherent tension there now that he's killed again.
