It’s more than a half of football isn’t it, he looks dangerous, he passes the eye test. Yeah, it's a mad one tbh. He might not be an absolute superstar, but he's both a handful of a player and can finish. He's been isolated up top (as expected, really), but had a good game. OutByEaster? Posted April 3 Moderator Share Posted April 3 Is there a better young striker in the league? He's 18 months younger than Cole Palmer.

Ferguson at Brighton has had a really quiet year and probably gone a bit backwards but he plays more
It's Your Round
Funny hearing McMoist saying Duran should do better. No acknowledgment that he’s not long turned 20 and in his first season in the league. Thought he did well today, the finish was excellent, he’s already a premier league player and should improve plenty.

Popular Post MWARLEY2
Its easiest to see how he is improving by comparing the Duran that joined 12 months ago. Shoot on sight. No idea of how to play with his back to goal and would only defend from the front and not track back . Tonight he did well against one of if not the best central defender on the planet, battled hard, scored a beautiful goal that involved his team , tracked back to take the ball off Foden on the edge of our box and didnt get sent off. I think he will always look raw. Just like Tino Asprilla did. Thats the crazy unpredicatable side you can get with South Americans sometimes. But to say he doesnt have the requisite ability is so wrong based on his imorovements in all aspects of the game
VillaJay
Played well tonight and showed a really strong all round game. The thing that impressed me most was his physicality and he really gave their defenders a tough time. I've not always been his biggest fan, but played had a positive impact in the last 2 games. david-avfc
Really nice goal both the finish and build up play. Could be a top striker if he keeps developing and remains sensible

turvontour
Could have been 2 in 2 for him if the one Saturday from Konsa hadn't crossed the line first. The more goals the better with him, very much a confidence player.
VillaChris
2 hours ago, GlobalVillan said: Lol. Yeah, if you judge players on one half of football. I don't though. Any striker is capable of the odd goal. Let's see how he goes over the next year or so. Probably more shocked by Global watching a game of Football actually involving Man. City than him criticising Duran for the 20th time this season! He did fine and it was a brilliant finish considering the angle he was at. Also right at the start of the game he went a touch too early with his run but it was a very good connection with volley that Ortega did well to tip around the post. I would say his technique actually around the goal is pretty good, he just needs to join the dots now with timing of runs and sometimes link up play. Crux of that is he needs more starts to achieve this so you'd like to think he should now be in contention to start 5-10 prem games next season and there wouldn't be a mass panic if Ollie is rested for a few prem matches. Mantis
There's surprisingly little hype about him outside Villa circles. If he played for United or Liverpool you can guarantee he'd be being massively hyped up.
