I’m looking on the bright side… could have gone to the Euros, had a breakout tournament, been a target for the very top clubs in the summer. Now we just need to qualify for CL without him, no problem, and he’ll be back for next season bossing it against Real Madrid at Villa Park. All good.

Will struggle to feature much at all with what's left of 2024, early 2025 is more realistic.

The tweak in CL means there's two group games in January from next season so guess that is a target if we qualify.

Nice, might be too soon this week but hopefully back for the Luton game.

It's not Nice, the operation was in Lyon.

Play him v Ajax

You could get him and Emi B and bind their bad legs together to create a hybrid Jake the Peg type footballer option, was going to say Mings but the length of leg differential could cause issues

Maybe we should book all of our players in for a full knee replacement in the summer so that we never have to worry about knee ligament injuries again.

Might as well get them both done. Got to be a reason why there's so many acl injuries there days. It's been well documented in women's football but villa are matching them.

Wouldn’t be so worried about losing McGinn for the next 3 games had Bouba still been fit and available…

but losing him makes this even worse…

we are down to the barebones in central midfield and it’s a real concern…

Tim has to show that he can actually cover and take on Bouba’s role and responsibility… otherwise, I now fear we are going to struggle…

We lack defensive resilience and tenacity/aggression… maybe even prowess now… he has to step up…

perhaps the fan base will now accept that having 4 players who can play in central midfield is dumb when some of them are first team in other positions like McGinn or often coming on as a sub in other positions like Tielemans..... The same goes for right back
