I thought the same but seems it is a permanent deal for 12 million

To be honest that’s a good deal for both parties and at least he seems to be getting first team football. Probably see him in the PL next year when they yo-yo back up

News now is just an aggregator. It just happens most of football related news is pure shite

True for everything not just football, the sooner we can get back to quality "streams" of curated content by talented journalists with specialist knowledge the better. There has to be a way to head back in that direction...

As for where we can improve in Jan, I think we need a couple of players at least short term, fullbacks and a world class 6 (competition for the excellent Nakamba of late ;)) poss a top, top centre back. We should have an eye to 2 years from now though too I think at this stage, so assessing who might make the squad from the u23s, where the gaps are there and filling them now. Best way to get value, they won't all work but when they do we get many times our money back in value.

Could argue we might need a backup keeper too, in truth if we buy better then we have in any position and the first teamer they replace becomes backup/ competition for placces it's the start of what will have to happen to more than half our squad for us to be where we want to be....

Speaking of which, we are linked with Jermaine Defoe now :D

To come in as attacking coach supposedly

Would have been a great signing, but he's getting on a bit now and his chances of scoring goals for us have long gone. :D

He's only 73, still got another few seasons in him.

I don’t want anyone from Rangers, I don’t think we’ll be after any of them anyway. What’s interesting is a few weeks ago it have said we were desperate for a DM but if Marv keeps playing like he is maybe we have our man already

He's gonna miss a month due to AFCON in Jan-Feb thou. Think it's something like 7 games depending on how they fare and if no further Covid protocol is added.

By paying for it, as we used to have to.

I said a few weeks ago that Nakamba was a better player than Kamara from Rangers. Keep it up Marv

Everyone is playing well which is great. I would say the only position that could offer a small percentage improvement is a decent progressive, ball playing centre back and a more dynamic left back, but we really don’t need it. I would rather we allowed more game time together for the existing squad.

Yep I subscribe to a few things for that very reason, but it doesn't make the ad money driven clickbait drivel disappear....

True. Though if sufficient people ignored it, it wouldn't survive. Still earlyish days in the online media world.

The more I think it about it we’ve got decent players through out the squad and good young players coming through.

What we don’t have a huge amount of is elite level quality. So for this Jan and next summer I’d almost want to minimise the number of bodies in and just go big on one player for each window. Think that could make a huge difference to us.

Finally!

His hotel bill at the Belfry will be astronomical.

I think Gerrard will know which players can step up. If he thinks Kent or Aribo can, then lets get them in.

I think Kent and Aribo are their best players and you could argue we need a central midfielder and a left sided attacker…

A good friend of mine is a Rangers fan and he thinks Aribo would, and I quote, ‘get into any side in the PL’.

Daft b******.

So according to the rags in Italy Juve are up for selling any of their midfielders apart from Locatelli, Chiesa and much improved McKennie.

Not sure any of them are realistic here and I'd stay well clear of Ramsey and Rabiot but Rodrigo Bentancur would be pretty nice :D . Would have loved Kulusevski here but not sure where he'd fit in now.

Arthur is rumored to Sevilla on loan due to transfer fee write off something-something.

Juve fans who know who Westwood is? Now I've heard everything :D

From what I've seen he's not lived up to the early hype and potential yet but he's only 24 and I certainly don't think he's similar to Westwood in any way shape or form. Using a broad stereotype I generally love the attitude that players from Uruguay have. Just a hint of crazy in most of em :)
