He didn't shine much at all. He was garbage in his time with us. Fair play he's doing well for Luton but, Christ alive, he was shite for us. As far as loan signings for us in the last ten years he's got some stiff competition in the biggest bag of shite award.

Popular Post HanoiVillan
He's not even remotely in the conversation for 'worst loan signing', come on. Barkley put in two or three excellent performances (the Liverpool game, one against Southampton) and scored a last-minute winner against Leicester. Remind me which game Josh Onomah excelled in again? Or Tiago Ilori?

He'd barely played for Chelsea for ages, it was always a 'maybe we can get him going again' loan signing not a guarantee.

But after I watched him let a Leeds player run past and and he made 0% effort at stopping him, it was over in my head.
ozvillafan Posted December 24, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted December 24, 2023 Still got a great shot and killer pass in him.... ... but you can't play him without Nakamba doing his dirty work.
sne
With 1 goal and 1 assist so far in 12 games he possibly should hold on for a bit before renting a tuxedo for the Balon d'or awards. Good for him getting regular minutes again thou.

Always seemed really frustrated with himself (where people thought he was simply mad he got subbed). Actually surprised to see him doing so well in the PL. I thought he was done after that Nice stint.

This loan move was going to get it back on track and he got injured. I'm also not sure we used him right playing him as a second striker. It didn't work out but I never hated the bloke like some. I often think it was people who for some reason always went at Deano that seemed the most critical of him.

LondonLax
He is comfortably Luton’s best player. Their main tactic seems to be to give him the ball and hope he does something good.
Zatman
I think what will happen is a bit predictable. Luton will go down and he will join a West Ham/ Spurs and not succeed He is the English Ben Arfa
