He is getting better there is no question. Its no suprise as he was playing a dm role that didnt really suit him.

Luiz is going to be a brazilian International regular for brazil i believe

He’s still playing as a DM. Just a bit more licence to roam now, and double pivot, so we see more of his all round game.

Main thing that’s changed is a competent coach and benching McGinn.

This 100%. Instead of him playing as a single DM, he’s got Donck or Kamara beside him.

Two DMs means the more attacking one can join in attacks more often, and not be caught out when we lose possession.

Thank **** he signed that deal. It would have been a huge problem next summer replacing him and it would have taken a big chunk of our budget to do so. He will be a different player with Kamara next to him, like he should have been from the beginning of the season.

He is starting to play with real conviction. Like he knows he’s good enough to really impact games and dictate play.

I think the ability has always been there, but I found it frustrating that games just seemed to pass him by. Right now, he looks as if he WANTS to be the best player on the pitch and wants to run the midfield.

Im really surprised at how good he’s been at times. He’s really turning into a cracking player. Still so young too.

Gutted for him.

also think it’s mad that our fans are pleased he wasn’t picked. We want players that are good enough for their country, motivated and proud to play at national level and also able to get picked by playing for Aston Villa rather than, e.g., Arsenal.

Agree, he deserves to be there, and likely would have been if Emery had joined us just a little bit earlier. Feel sorry for him. Missing out on a big chance to win a World Cup.

Definitely. Gutted he wasn't selected, more for him than anyone else.
