Yes normally when talks about VIlla you can't trust it because it's normally something negative and wishful thinking on his part, like last summer when he was trying to convince their fans that Xia would rather let us go into admin, than sell to anyone other than another Chinese group, and they were lapping it up. Gardner is worth next to nothing on the market (£1m at most really) and absolutely nothing to us if he stays. He's no where near good enough for the prem and he'll likely be loaned out. What's the point keeping him? Who would we realistically be looking at getting that's better for £4m? It's a tiny sum in todays market. He likely won't be first choice anyway.
